Viral Rock Outfit Peningo Riders Drop Gritty Anthem “Love Ain’t Everything” on Friday the 13th

RYE, NY – (February 13, 2026) – Fresh off the viral success of their breakout hit “Duck That Jeep”, Peningo Riders returns today with a heavier, window-rattling follow-up that trades internet humor for raw Southern Rock power.

Released intentionally on Friday the 13th—the eve of Valentine’s Day—”Love Ain’t Everything” serves as the true genesis of the band’s sound. While their previous single celebrated the fun of the Jeep community, this track delivers a driving Americana groove that challenges the easy pull of infatuation.

The Spark That Started the Fire

The song’s origin is already becoming local legend. It was born spontaneously during a guitar lesson between frontman Eddie Pellon and guitarist Russ Davis. Frustrated by a romantic situation, Eddie abruptly stopped playing and shouted the hook: “Love ain’t everything, but it’s a damn good way to start!”

Recognizing lightning in a bottle, Russ and Eddie turned the lesson into a songwriting session, channeling that raw frustration into a universal cautionary tale.

“This track is the spark that actually started the band,” says Eddie. “It delivers the hard truth that love is an enticing starting line, but it’s not the finish line. It’s a classic rock vehicle for a modern story—reminding us that the real work happens after the honeymoon phase fades.”

With “Love Ain’t Everything,” Peningo Riders solidify their place in the modern Southern Rock landscape. Blending grit, heartache, and high-octane instrumentation, the single proves the band has the musical chops to stay on the road long after the viral moments pass.
